Scaliscro Lodge
A traditional fully licensed fishing Lodge on the Isle of Lewis with spectacular views.
Scaliscro LodgeSpectacularly situated overlooking the sea and just 22 miles from Stornoway, the Lodge has fine views to the hills of Harris and Lewis. Family run and comfortably furnished, the Lodge has 3 double/twin en-suite rooms, 1 single and 5 double/twin rooms served by 3 bathrooms. A set price ‘a la carte’ menu using our own Highland beef, lamb, game, smoked salmon, mussels and other local seafood is served to guests either in our seafront dining room or Sportsman’s dining room. We have over 10,000 acres of land on which there is a hill farm with rare breeds including Highland Cattle and Hebridean Sheep, a salmon hatchery, the fishings, walked-up grouse shooting and some deer stalking. Guests are free to ramble at their leisure.
Fishing
We offer fishing for salmon, seatrout and brown trout on over 12 Lochs in wild and secluded locations. The most famous of these being Loch Langavat which is over 7 miles long and is the head Loch on the renowned Grimersta system, Fishing with a ghillie includes transport to and from the Lochs, boats and outboards. Fishing is by fly, spinner or bait from a rowed boat, the shore or by trolling. Should the weather be too bright and warm, we can offer trolling with a downrigger in search of elusive ‘ferox’ trout or artic char or alternatively a day on the sea.
Special Offers
We are pleased to offer from August to October, one week’s full board accommodation, 5 days ghillied Salmon, seatrout and brown trout fishing and transport to and from Stornoway Airport for £500 per person (based on a double rod). We will also offer full board accommodation for any non-fishers with a party for £275 per person per week.
