Colwick Country Park, formed from former gravel workings, is set in 250 acres of woodland, grassland and open water courses that offer a variety of leisure activities from game to course fishing, to a variety of active water sports and leisurely walks.
Coarse fishing at Colwick consists of 2.5km of the River Trent, .5km of which is matched pegged and can be booked for competition fishing. We also have a 24 acre lake (West Lake) containing mostly large Carp and Bream. A section of the old River Trent also holds a good heaad of fish, especially Pike.

Colwick Lake
This well stocked 65 acre lake is a popular Trout fishing area and boasts Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. Some of the Rainbow Trout weighing up to 12 pounds.Fishing is available from boat or bank, and the lake is available for special events.
Permits
Permits are available only from the fishing lodge and must be bought prior to fishing. The lodge opens at 8.00am. Early arrivals can deposit permit money through the letterbox in an envelope staing name, address and type of permit required.

All fish must be treated with respect and returned to the water in good health including Pike and Eels.
