This self catering complex is located within 240 hectares of mixed woodland in Killykeen Forest Park overlooking Lough Oughter which forms part of the labyrinth of waterways known as the Erne River system.
The ComplexThis self catering complex is located within 240 hectares of mixed woodland in Killykeen Forest Park overlooking Lough Oughter, which forms part of the labyrinth of waterways known as the Erne River system.The complex offers a choice of the unique Scandinavian style two-story chalet or a single story log cabin. All chalets are furnished to the highest standard and are regisered and approved by the Irish Tourist Board with 3 star grading.Each chalet/log cabin is electrically centrally heated and equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge and satellite television. All crockery and cooking utensils are provided. Bed linen is also supplied.Accommodating 4-6 people, the chalet’s are designed to make optimum use of sunshine. A special feature of the three bedroomed chalet is its south facing solarium. All our chalets are within 100 metres of the lakeshore.
The Fishing
Killykeen and Lough Oughter are renowned for coarse angling.
Bream, roach, perch and pike are the main species with catche sof 50-100 lbs recorded. A pegged stretch where international competitions are held is located within the park.
Boats are also available for hire on site.

Location
Killykeen is located just 130 km from Dublin and 12 km west of Cavan town on the road to Killeshandra (also 12km). It is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding region which boasts many great houses, national monuments and areas of archaeological, historical and scientific interest.The complex remains open all year, however it should be noted that some facilities are seasonal.
