Kielder Water is located near Bellingham

Kielder Water is located near Bellingham. It offers the angler excellent sport with both boat and bank fishing along its 23 miles of shoreline. At Kielder, both float and ledgered worm are equally effective. The disabled facilities include toilets and wheelyboats. For best results we advise, among others: Montana Nymph, Black lures, Baby doll and Dog Nobbler. Bylaws require that boat anglers ware lifejackets at all times.

Derwent lies between Edmundbyers and Blanchland, and is surrounded by mixed agricultural landscapes and moorland. It offers big water fishing for the fly enthusiast along seven miles of bank. Worm fishing extends to three miles along the southern shoreline. A good early season tip is; “If the wind is warmer than the water, cast into the wind, and if it’s colder than the water, cast with the wind or adjourn to the Punch Bowl at nearby Edmundbyers!” – we certainly recommend the latter!

So Good Fishing is the ‘order of the day’ – whether ‘Game is your game’, or ‘sea fishing is your bag’ we offer the best!.
