Chris Gardner is 27, and has been fishing since the age of 9. Growing up and living virtually on the banks of the River Nene introduced Chris to all aspects of coarse fishing. Match fishing for a while, he made the under 19 England international squad three years running, before concentrating on more specialist aspect of the sport.
Specimen fishing for pike and chub on the river Nene for a few years, Chris quickly became interested in the unknown potential of the river's carp population, and has suffered from 'carp fever' ever since. After 8 seasons concentrating on the species, Chris has fished extensively throughout Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire, capturing numbers of big fish including two specimens over 40lb.
