The Real River Piker Wayne Littley

Ever fished a river for pike? On a proper river that is.

How to use a centre pin Bill Rushmer

When trotting a bait through a swim, I make no apology for being a traditionalist and advocating the use of a centre pin in most situations.

Everybody's Stalkin' Rod Henton

A white horse walks into a pub. The barman says, "We've got a whiskey named after you!" The horse looked puzzled then replied "What? A whiskey called Trevor???".

February Tincas - DR PAUL GARNER Dr Paul Garner

You might not think it, but over several years now I have found an interesting aberration in the match reports found every week in the backs of the angling weeklies.

TROUTWEEK: New Season Flies - MARTIN COTTIS Martin Cottis

I thought that I would spend the next few weeks looking at the flies that we use on the Bristol Reservoirs through the first few weeks of the season. I will go into the details of tying techniques while I am at it. Of course I will not claim that this is in any way a definitive list, obviously all fishermen have their own variations, but most of the flies that I will look at are available commercially. If you do not fancy buying your flies from the shops, I am happy to tie the flies for you. Give me a ring on 07747 843548 to secure your order.
