On their first day on the river Ebro they hammered the carp catching over a dozen fish to 32 lbs. The 32 lber shown here indicates the increasing size of fish now being caught from the river. Just recently another angler had several fish over 25lbs in one session.

The River Ebro is renowned for itís massive wels catfish which grow to well in excess of 180lbs but now the carp are beginning to reach the sort of size which makes them a worthy opponent. Nick caught his giant common using a deadly method mix created by Andy and a Nash Classic pineapple popup. All the fish fell to these intense bright yellow boilies with their high flavour leakage. Combining their extensive watercraft, angling and fishing business experience together Andy, co-director of Ultimate Angling Ltd., and Nick provide top quality guided angling and guest house accommodation in angling Mecca Riba Roja DíEbre. The Ebro is in prime condition this year, having benefited from considerable rainfall last winter and is back in sensational form. Large numbers of quality zander, barbel and bass are being caught by the skilled lure anglers. The cats are feeding well and a bumper season is expected.
